8:30 | 9:00 am – Pickup at place of your choice – Porto or Douro
We are thrilled to pick you up bright and early at 8:30 am or a little later if you need some extra snooze time. Whether you are staying in Porto, Gaia or Douro Valley, we will be sure to pick you up from your hotel or Airbnb address. As soon as everyone is on board, we will hit the road and begin our journey towards the picturesque Douro Valley.
As we make our way through the countryside, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of rolling hills, lush green vineyards, and quaint little towns. The drive itself will be about 1 hour and 30 minutes, but we promise it will be worth it once we reach our first winery.
But the journey isn’t just about the destination, it’s also about the experience along the way. We want to get to know you better and make some new friends during our time together. So, while we drive, let’s chat about the exciting day ahead and anything else that comes to mind. After all, a great trip is not just about the sights, it’s also about the company you keep.

10:30 | 11:00 am – First Winery Visit and wine tasting
After a stunning ride through the countryside, we will arrive at the first winery of the day, where you will embark on a fascinating guided tour. The winery we visit will be carefully selected to ensure you have the best possible experience. We will make sure to book it in advance so that we avoid any disappointments caused by overbooking. So, whether you have a specific winery in mind or are happy to take our recommendations, rest assured that we have got you covered.
During your guided visit, you will have the unique opportunity to delve deep into the world of wine production. You will explore the cellars, the vines and discover the secrets behind their winemaking process. You will learn about the different grape varieties and the techniques used to create their delicious Douro DOC Wine or Port Wines.

After an enriching and delightful wine tasting experience, it’s time for the cherry on top – lunch! We have two fantastic options to choose from, both of which promise to be unforgettable culinary experiences.
Firstly, we can choose to dine at one of the magnificent wineries in the Douro Valley. Here, we will indulge in a full-course meal that includes a starter, main course, and dessert, all perfectly paired with their exquisite wines. You’ll get to taste 2 DOC wines and 2 Port wines, making for an unforgettable experience for your taste buds. Each winery has its unique menu, so you can be sure that you will be treated to a one-of-a-kind meal.
Alternatively, we can take you to one of the excellent local restaurants in the area, where you will be able to sample traditional Portuguese cuisine at its finest. The Douro Valley is known for its culinary delights, and we will make sure to take you to the best restaurants that are sure to satisfy your cravings.
The price of lunch varies depending on the winery or restaurant you choose, ranging from 100€ to 120€ or more per person. However, we promise that the experience will be worth every penny, and you won’t regret a single moment of it. If you book with us for a local restaurant the lunch is included in the price of your tour. If you choose to lunch in the wineries the lunch is on you.

2:00 | 2:30 Visit an amazing sightseeing point Or Have a boat Tour in Douro River
As we finish our delicious lunch, it’s time to take in the breathtaking beauty of the Douro Valley. We will take you on a scenic drive along the river, passing through picturesque villages and stunning landscapes, until we arrive at a sightseeing point that boasts some of the most spectacular views in the region.
Here, you can marvel at the natural beauty of the valley, with its lush green hills, the river, and majestic mountains. This is the perfect opportunity to relax and soak up the sun, all while capturing some incredible photos that will undoubtedly make your friends and family envious.
Alternatively, if you want to experience the river up close, we can book a one-hour boat tour for you in the charming town of Pinhão. You’ll get to cruise along the Douro River, taking in the stunning scenery and enjoying a unique perspective of the valley from the water. It’s a truly magical experience that you won’t want to miss.
Whether you choose to admire the valley from the sightseeing point or on a boat tour, we promise that this will be a highlight of your Douro Valley trip.
If you choose to book the boat tour we only visit the second winery if we have time, because distances between available wineries and the boat tour can take long and we may get out of the Guided Winery Tours schedule.
If theres time we may go on the second winery for the wine tasting and exclude the guide visit, because each winery have their schedule and we may miss it because of lunch and driving timings.

3:00 – 4:00 Pm – Winery Visit and wine tasting
As the sun begins to set on the Douro Valley, it’s time for our final winery visit of the day. This is your chance to learn even more about the fascinating world of wine production and taste some of the finest wines that the region has to offer.
During the guided visit, you’ll get an inside look at the specific methods used by this particular winery, gaining a deeper understanding of what makes their wines so unique and special. And of course, no winery visit would be complete without another round of tastings, allowing you to sample even more of their delicious wines.
At this point in the day, we like to focus on visiting smaller, family-owned wineries that produce limited quantities of wine. This way, you can try wines that are not available anywhere else, making your experience all the more special and exclusive.
Please keep in mind that we may need to be flexible in terms of which winery we visit, depending on availability. But rest assured, we have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the region and will always choose the best possible option for you.

6:30 – 7:00 pm – Drop Off at place of choice
As our tour comes to a close, we will take you back to your accommodation in Douro, Porto or Gaia, with memories that will last a lifetime.
